Bluewater Photo is an underwater photography specialty retailer founded by Scott Gietler in the Los Angeles area. The company operates both a retail storefront and an extensive online presence through The Underwater Photography Guide (www.uwphotographyguide.com), which provides camera reviews, tutorials, and buying guides for underwater photographers at all levels.
Bluewater Photo became increasingly prominent in the Wetpixel ecosystem from 2011 onward, establishing itself as a major US retailer for underwater camera systems from Nauticam, Ikelite, Sea & Sea, and others. The company also founded the Ocean Art Underwater Imaging Competition, which grew into one of the premier annual UW photo contests.
