Biography
Nick Hope is an underwater videographer operating the Bubble Vision production company, and one of the most active video-focused community members in Wetpixel’s history (2,166 forum posts, 158+ forum threads). Based in Southeast Asia, he films extensively in Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, Fiji, and Tonga, demonstrating that “you don’t necessarily have to have the best equipment” to produce high-quality footage ([2]).
He shot with a Sony HVR-Z1P HDV camera, Century Optics +3.5 achromatic diopter, Light & Motion Bluefin HD housing, and Light & Motion Elite halogen lights. He is also an expert in post-production — color-correcting with curves in Sony Vegas Pro, and using advanced AviSynth/QTGMC deinterlacing and resizing techniques.
