Biography
Herb Ko (Wetpixel member #59) is an underwater photographer based in Mountain View, California, who became one of Wetpixel’s earliest moderators in September 2003, when the community had just 1,300 members and 20,000 posts. He moderated the Consumer Digicams forum and later administered the Photo of the Week (POTW) contest.
Active in both NCUPS (Northern California Underwater Photographic Society) and LAUPS, he was selected alongside Craig Jones as the first INON Artist of the Month (November 2003).

POTW Administrator
Took over running the Photo of the Week contest in July 2004 ([2]), administered it until November 2004, and suggested rule changes including a $90/year prize cap ([3]).
Gear Reviews
Reviewed the Aquatica A300 housing for Canon Digital Rebel, field-tested in Similan Islands, Thailand ([4]). Documented how to retrofit the Nikon SB-105 strobe for digital use via Subaquatic Camera ($130 retrofit) ([5]). Covered the INON D-2000 strobe announcement ([6]).
